Is it time for a bathroom makeover? The easiest thing to do, of course, is to merely change out a countertop, add some new fixtures and sinks, maybe paint the cabinets. But why not consider thinking outside the box a bit, taking a look at bathroom trends?

Bathrooms were once considered “necessary” rooms, used only for hygiene. Well, perhaps it was a place where kids could lock the door and keep your brothers and sisters away for a while. And floating wall shelves can take up vertical spaces accommodating towels and other things that clutter countertops. The cleaner the space is, the bigger it appears. Opt for modular furniture with simple and straight shapes and decorate sparingly. Wall-hung vanities look great an can be lit from underneath, making your bathroom look like something from a magazine.

Get creative with surfaces. Ceramic tiles are popular for showers and floors, including porcelain. New designs offer various geometric patterns, and there are also ceramics that imitate higher-end materials like wood and marble or even concrete.
